Hello World, here I am!

I've never done the whole blogging thing before, likely because I have never been able to keep any sort of commitment to long term diary writing or journalling or whatnot, and yet I find myself here, writing a blog.

Hypothetically speaking, this blog will follow my adventures in sugar (and all things sugar related) and will hopefully feature a good number of photographs.  I am known to get sidetracked easily though, so be forewarned that occasional non-food related posts about things like knitting or movies might occur. Anyways, I love baking cakes and other sugary treats, and am always teaching myself new cake decorating techniques or trying new recipes.  I am an improvisational baker.  Recipes are guidelines but not rule books.  

My most recent fascinations include (but are not limited to) cakes, cupcakes, pies, pastries, ice creams, sorbets, frozen yogurts and more.  This list is ever expanding.  Just like my waistline.
